About this vehicle This 2002 BMW 540i is an original. The owner has had it for 3 years. The vehicle runs great and is mainly used for weekend drives. One of 472 imported Sterlinggrau silver tourings for the year. Mileage will go up a little if I drive it. Originally an Arizona Car I purchased and shipped out to Florida, previous owner was a prominent member of the motor sports community. Mechanically very sound, new transmission installed by BMW Scottsdale by the previous owner. M62TUB44 4.4liter has many new parts and engine out maintenance completed listed below: -Timing Guides along with whole engine regasket, upper/lower oil pan, front and rear main seal and rear valley access gasket, oil pump nuts/bolts staked. -VANOS seals -water pump with metal impeller, metal pulley, and all related seals, crossover pipes, thermostat -valley pan and cross over gaskets -ccv, Intake gaskets, injector gaskets -power steering pump -motor mounts -oil filter mounts, cap, high pressure lines/seals -MAF Other Maintenance and new parts: -KW lowering coil overs on all four corners -front end control arms and inner/outer tie rods, center link, sway bar links -drive shaft -guibo -carrier bearing -drilled rotors new pads -master cylinder -brake sensors -oxygen sensors -front door gaskets -hood cables -hood alarm sensor -front inner wheel well liners and dogleg plastics -multiple keys and key fobs -windshield gasket/trim -rear hatch shocks Maintenance completed: -Liquid-moly synthetic oil change every 4K miles -fuel filter -injector flush -fuel filter/regulator -air/cabin filters -power steering flush -coolant flush/BMW coolant -brake system flush -air bag recall complete -sunroof maintenance -sunroof drains cleaned -euro headlight lenses -Headlight adjusters -window regulators -door vapor seals -battery -A/C service, evaporator and drains cleaned -serpentine belt and A/C belts -spark plugs Additions: -Style 66 wheels (powder coated) -Pirelli Firehawk Indy 500 tires (235/45R17 and 275/40R17) -matching style 66 spare (not powder coated or assembled) -powder coated valve covers -Sport steering wheel (stock wheel available) -new center console sliding door -TEC cup holder -CD Disk changer -BMW cell phone (inoperative but way cool) -A pillars recovered Flaws: -Due to Arizona sun and sand blown paint the car was resprayed at some point in Arizona -minor dings -front bumper has misc bumps and scratches, by far the “worst” of the paint flaws -rear hatch has minor scratches -passenger rocker panel repaired and resprayed after lawn mower guy dented it -I just had the under hatch plastics, under headlight plastics and lower aftermarket lower front bumper resprayed. -headliner is not separating or failing but has some dirt on it that I didn’t want to take a chance on cleaning in fear of it failing. I never got the chance to recover it. -scratch in rear glass tint -mark in hand pull on driver rear interior door Also includes BMW roof rack (not installed and missing keys.) It’s not a visually perfect car, but it is darn pretty and amazingly mechanically sound. I have the majority of the receipts (previous owner and mine) service records but there are a few that I was unable to locate. Buyer is responsible for arranging shipping but I have a contact I can offer, I also have a truck and trailer and can deliver for a fee this side of the Mississippi.
