2002 BMW 325i Sedan, 226k miles. Runs and drives; for parts or repair.
The perfect donor car for a manual/sport swap! Sport seats / interior, wheels, tires, and transmission / differential alone are worth at least $1400.
Good: Car drives straight and handles well (test-drives possible). Transmission shifts well but needs a shifter bushing kit. VANOS seals replaced at 175k miles. Tires around 70% (currently Continental DWS ExtremeContact, still showing "Snow" rating on the treads). Brakes, shocks (Bilstein Sport), and front control arm bushings are all less than 3 years old. Steering rack upgraded with M3/ZHP rack (stiffer feel, faster turn ratio). Most typical E46 interior features have been fixed or maintained (key fob, central locks, sunroof, and window regulators all work). Seats and interior in worn condition consistent with age but showing no tears or major blemishes. Bad: Runs and drives but needs repair. Vehicle was in a front-end collision at approximately 35mph. Driver"s airbag deployed. Frame, drive train , and suspension are all straight and undamaged. Can be repaired without welding. Major parts needed are: hood, passenger fender, headlights, bumper cover, bumper subframe, cooling system, radiator core support, fender liner, air box, misc. electrical harness repairs and a driver"s airbag. Engine burns lots of oil. Probably valve stems seals and maybe piston oil control rings as well. Head gasket (and head) are in excellent condition. Engine has never overheated. Dynamic Stability Control error code - probably a wheel speed sensor Secondary Air Pump error code - probably a leaky rubber hose Lots of other photos available - just ask and provide an email address
