Vehicle description
2002 BMW 325i 5 speed manual transmission factory sport package 200k miles Clean body Needs head / head gasket replaced Car will start with starting fluid, but wont stay running.
I bought this car with a locked steering column. The seller told me the car ran well, he just could not get the key to turn. I got the steering column unlocked and proceeded to restore it, replacing tons of parts on it, thinking I could get it running and start driving it. Little did I know that the guy lied to me, and it needs a new head gasket/head/engine. The compression is low on cylinders 1-3, and air leaks across cylinders 1-3 during a leakdown test. Here"s a list of parts replaced/work done to it:
Interior: All 4 window regulators, tinted the windows with ceramic tint, resprayed the door panels and wrapped them with carbon fiber wrap. wrapped the A pillars with carbon fiber wrap. Replaced the shifter knob and boot (black alcantara). New MB Quart speakers. Door panels need to be reinstalled. I have the clips and the trim parts are bagged.
Engine: New belts, tensioner, vacum hoses, intake boots, new DISA valve with aluminum plate upgrade, cleaned injectors, new fuel filter/pressure regulator, new bosch fuel pump, new bosch starter, crank sensor, all coolant hoses, aluminum coolant pipe upgrade, water pump, thermostat, cam sensors, oil filter housing gasket, CCV pipes, throttle body cleaned, MAF cleaned, alternator regulator, new spark plugs, coil boots, motor mounts, coolant sensor, engine temp sensor, power steering fluid flushed, intake gaskets, air filter. The engine will start and crank, it just wont stay running because of the head/ head gasket.
Electrical: New AGM battery, new fuel pump relay, all fuses checked and good. New heater resistor is included but haven"t installed it.
Body: new wiper blades, tinted windows, new headlight lenses and clear corner lights.
My loss, your gain. Might be a good engine swap candidate, or just replace the engine. Clear Alabama title. Must pickup in Columbus, Georgia.
