Vehicle description
About this vehicle This 2001 Volkswagen Cabrio is an original. The owner has had it for 4 years. The vehicle needs work. Seller"s Notes See pictures for all the work that was done to the car in February. Too bad that was not all it needed. Perfect car for your family project. Rust Free Oregon Body Vehicle Details Bought this car in Oregon in 2018 drove it about 10k miles and then brought it to Tucson stored it for years and this Winter spent $3200 fixing it all up but was told by another mechanic it needs more work. I’m cutting my losses and selling. This is what they said it needs mechanically: 1. Strut Mount: Rear strut mounts broken and need replaced. 1 broken through completely, the other is coming apart. 2. Throttle Body Replacement: THrottle valve drive unit has failed. The plate is no longer connected to the gear drive. Need to replace the throttle body assembly. 3. Repair wiring harness: Passenger front wheel speed sensor harness rubbed through. Need to replace the harness. 4. Radiator Hose Replacement - Upper: The upper radiator hoses that were installed are incorrect and rubbing through at the secondary air pump. Need the correct hoses. 5. Brake Flush: Brake fluid very dark green, The bleeder caps have not been removed recently. need to flush the system with fresh fluid. 6. Engine Oil Cooler: The oil cooler seal above the cooler is leaking. need to replace. 7. Drivers seat slide has a broken Plastic bushing it rides on. Need to replace the bushing if available. 8. Front strut mounts are aftermarket and do not look to be correct. Quoting replacement of these mounts. It also has a seam in the convertible top that’s come loose and has been repaired a few times , not looking too good but not terrible either. I loved this car and planned on restoring and keeping forever. Hopefully you’ll have the energy to make this car into something special. Exterior Engine Download the Motors app
