Vehicle description
Up for sale is this beautiful 2001 Porsche 911 convertible. 996.1 generation with only 73k miles.
The car runs and drives great and is in overall great condition. Paint color is polar silver metallic. It is a gorgeous silver that has just a hint of blue in it. So in some light it looks silver and in some light it looks like a metallic light blue. The combination of the paint with the metropol blue top and metropol blue interior is fantastic. Body condition is great. Being a 21 year old car with 73k miles it does have some scratches and such but nothing major. The car really looks great. Interior is also in great condition with normal minor wear. The seats are in great shape. Dash is leather with stitching and also in great shape. There is an Alpine radio installed and I do not have the original.
A/c blows cold.
Brakes work great. Front rotors and pads appear to be new. Rears have lots of life left. Just had a 4 wheel alignment done.
Top works as it should without issues. The rear window is a little foggy but otherwise top is in great shape. The 3.4 liter engine runs as it should. Pulls strong. Blows no smoke. I do not have any record of IMS being done so I don"t know if it was or not.
Transmission is a 6 speed and shifts through the all gears without issue. Overall it is a very nice car that you can drive daily or use as a weekend toy.
Now the negatives - the turn signal stalk does not stay up in the right turn position. It does to the left. Also it does not self cancel so not sure what that"s all about. Turn signals and all other lights work just fine, it"s just the stalk that does not stay to the right (up position). Also the driver window does not go down that 1/4 inch by itself when you open the door. I just push it down before closing the door and then once the door closes it does go up by itself. Right rear wheel has a ding on the lip. Nothing major and sure could be fixed by a wheel repair person.
The car comes with a rebuilt title. I bought it as a salvage flood car although I see absolutely no evidence of flood damage. It is possible that the window or top may have been left open and the insurance decided not to take the chance and therefore totaled the car. But everything works, everything is dry, there are no funny smells and just nothing to show any signs of flood. But is it what is is and it will come with a rebuilt title.
Car is located in Dania Beach, FL about 5 minutes south of Ft Lauderdale airport. Personal inspections are welcomed and encouraged.
$500 deposit is due immediately and balance within 7 days.
Unless buyer is out of state or a Florida dealer, Florida residents will have to pay $140 title transfer and 7% sales tax
I have some youtube videos about the car: https:/ www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL8n2vRSZAKhLyi4kaYmNqAmLb9v2S94ho
