The Mercedes-Benz CLK 55 AMG is a handsome and powerful grand tourer, It is powered by a hand-built 5.4-litre naturally-aspirated V8 engine, and generated 342hp. Driven through the rear wheels via a five-speed 5G-Tronic automatic transmission.
the AMG model’s engine uses a forged billet steel crankshaft, forged connecting rods and pistons, a modified intake manifold and reworked cylinder heads, and lightweight AMG-specific camshafts.
Its bodywork was subtly revised over the standard range, with a unique front apron featuring integrated fog lamps, deeper side skirts, and a model-specific rear bumper.
The car’s bodywork is in good order, finished in the Brilliant Silver metallic. There are stone chips to the front end, and the odd scratch here and there, but otherwise it remains in very presentable condition. Due to a rear end accident the status of the car received a rebuilt title but it has been professionally repaired to it’s factory state, by a professional body shop and visually there is no trace of the accident.
It sits on a set of 18-inch Touren wheels but included are the Lorinser Replica monoblock alloy wheels, that are seen in the pictures.
In the cabin, the high-specification Exclusive Graphite / Anthracite AMG leather is in good condition, with a little wear to speak of. At the front, the electrically-adjustable and heated orthopaedic seats have memory settings for both driver and passenger. One thing to note is that the driver forward adjustment is stuck, but all other adjustments operate as they should.
Besides the exhaust and wheels, the car has been kept completely stock. It still drives and handles amazing. Starts, drives and stops as it should. No leaks on the floor.
Beautiful car and only appreciating in value every year.
