Vehicle description
Purchased this great car when I arrived in the States whilst I was looking for something with a bit more all American style! I have recently found my dream car so this one has to go. Been used as daily driver to work (10 miles each way) for the last few months with no issues. Mechanically A1, clear title, registered in California until October 2018. 2 owners (including me), 2 keys, factory manuals, no leaks, great service history.
Since purchasing, the car had the engine oil changed, air filter checked (didn"t need replacing) and the transmission fluid replaced. It has also had a new set of Toyo tyres all round and replacement clips for the convertible roof (a common problem on the old Mazda"s apparently). The car runs and drives well with a very smooth engine and tight steering. The negative points relate largely to the cosmetics of the car with the general wear and tear due to its age. The previous owner was a female owner who had the car since new and it has a stack of paperwork for the majority of services and maintenance (very good carfax / car history report).
I have attempted to list the key pros and cons below but as with any purchase I strongly recommend that any bidder test drive or get a mechanic to test the car so all parties are happy (I can liaise with a mechanic for any bidder if necessary). Similarly, I have attempted to identify all scratches in the photos but if you"re after more information please get in touch and I will respond/take additional photos.
Positives: - All new tyres (less than 1,500 miles) - Engine runs perfectly, starts first time every time. Fluids replaced recently. - Low mileage - Soft top in perfect condition with no tears or external marks - Replacement clips/locks to manual roof - Working AC, power steering and power windows - One previous lady owner with good service history - Rust free - Will be smogged prior to sale but passed 3 months ago
Negative: - General wear and tear throughout due to age. Few cracks/minor damage to front bumper etc. (Please note that "spots" on front bumper are light reflecting off water drops - just been cleaned!) - Clear coat on paint fading in a few areas (predominantly left fender near bonnet) - Bodywork scratches (predominantly to front bumper) - Stitching come apart at seam on base of passenger seat - Spring needs replacing in fuel cap
