Vehicle description
2001 H1 Hummer Open Top 6.5 L Turbo Diesel "heavy block" personally verified Ocean Blue Metallic (only produced in 2000 and 2001) Central tire inflation, serviceable - not hooked up to these wheels Deluxe Gray interior- excellent condition Monsoon Audio with sub-woofer Rocker panel protection Drive-line protection Heavy duty rear bumper with towing pkg. OEM brush guard A/C with Auxiliary rear unit TT4 System, with improvements, read below. About this truck: 2001 soft top, was the first year of the Heavy Block engines- the prior years 97-00 had issues with the # 7,8 cylinder cracking. It"s important to find out what kind of engine is in the H1 you"re buying.
2001 also re mapped the TT4 system, (Torque Track 4) so you could either manually BTM (brake throttle modulate) the tires instead of waiting on the TT4 to figure out wheels are spinning.
The gray deluxe interior is in excellent shape, and, probably the best thing about this truck is the dash and all the factory stuff is unmolested. No drilled holes for lights, ipods, computers etc. Bone stock, unusual- lots of older H1s have had all kinds of holes drilled etc., it"s good to see one in this shape.
The paint is in excellent condition with a small mark on the back passenger door, nothing critical. The bed is in great shape, original paint, very little use.
The undercarriage is clean, no rust, and very little, if any, serious off-road use.
Service just done, serviceable, ready to drive!
A little about myself : I have been in the Hummer (H1) business for over 20 years, and was the General Manager of a Hummer dealership from 1995-1998 and again in 2002-2003 and have been buying and selling/owning H1"s since then. Having owned over 1000 H1"s in my Hummer career I"m definitely an expert on the H1. I"ll be selling-buying-driving these beasts until I die. I"m different than a salesman at a dealership, I can afford these vehicles, drive them everyday. I have a full service shop that builds H1s and Humvees as well. I"ll still be selling these trucks many years from now. If you have any questions about years models etc., don’t hesitate to call. It’s my life and passion.
Just a side note, do you really want to buy a truck from someone that speaks broken English so bad you’re not sure what you agreed to? Do you really want to buy from someone that exports most of their trucks to foreign countries? Do you want to buy a truck from someone that gets dancers to stand beside their trucks? Do you want to buy a truck from someone with horrible pictures that hide all the trucks imperfections? Do you want to buy a truck from some sales person that knows nothing about the H1? If you said yes to any of these go back out to and pick from them, they’re all there! Do you think they’re going to be selling H1s in ten years? If you do you’ve got faith—one thing’s for sure I’ll still be here buying and selling H1s—I’ve been doing it since 1995-Me—Blair Outlan the H1 guy. And yes I’ll be there to help you out when you need something.
