Vehicle description
About this vehicle This 2001 Honda Civic is a project vehicle with updates to the drivetrain. The owner has had it for 1 year. The vehicle runs great and is not regularly driven. Seller"s Notes Previous owner talked me into it being a "gift" on the bill of sale, and never gave me a paper needed to transfer it into my name so all I have is a signed title and bill of sale. They moved to a different state and lost contact. Your welcome to try to track them down for a new title, I gave up. Was originally lied to about damage so im trying to give as much detailed information as I can to be transparent. According to eBay, it has a salvage title, although my signed title doest mention it. Vehicle Details Motivated to sell, make an offer, but not selling for scrap. Engine runs great and drives fine, although I've only driven it once. Ran multiple times until battery started getting weak. 101544 miles. Plenty of life left in her. Extremely clean underneath, no rot. Majority of rust is in photos - wheel wells/ lower door/ engine bay. Previous owner lost control on expressway in winter and hit center barrier on the passenger headlight area. Some parts were replaced before I bought it, and I bought a few items and used body panels. Will need a bit of work to be "roadworthy". Front radiator support is bent and will most likely need replacing, and also has a couple broken welds. It's not connected on passengers side, but is bolted to the fender. Radiator seems fine, never left a puddle or got hot when ran. Hood and fenders are unaligned from accident, never tried to align them after replacing passenger fender. Replacement is in better condition, but not perfect. Headlight brackets(?) were both replaced, but due to rad support the lights dont sit straight. Also only the passenger headlight was replaced, so one is clearly older. Battery is 5/6 years old and on its way out. Haven't started it in about a week so may be dead. AC condenser is curved from impact and ac isnt cold, might just need charge, not sure. Both rear door handles are pulled out, but function. Was told they were pulled on hard while frozen shut. Has wires ran for fog lights, but were never hooked up. No wires cut. Used replacement bumper has holes cut for the lights. Hood latch grip broke off, so to pop the hood I use vice grips on the metal rod that the latch screws onto. Have replacement, just havent installed it. Has what i assume is a cheapo Ebay "cold air intake", but original airbox is in the trunk. Has cheap rainguards on it, but are peeling off. Inner fenders were broken or taken off and are in trunk. Has a common leak from rubber seals near the footwells, so driver floor will get wet even when car is covered. Passenger floor is also starting to get damp. Will add more to description in following days. Will also update with more detailed photos of damage. Exterior Photos are of old fender, its been replaced with a used one, but its in alot better shape. Interior Car hasn't moved since this was taken so mileage is the same. I may have backed it up in the driveway once but it wasn't more that 10 feet. Engine Currently has a Vtec engine cover on, just as a joke. I started to paint the original Honda one pictured, but didn't finish. Download the Motors app
