This listing is for a 2001 Saleen S281 with a Saleen Series IV Supercharger. The car is #557 built in 2001 with less than 1000 total cars built for this particular year. I purchased the car in 2004 and have had it ever since. The car has been driven carefully over the years, but I did not allow for it to sit, except for during the winter months. The interior of the car is in very clean condition with leather seats, Saleen leather shift knob, Saleen pedals, Saleen manufacturing badge, 200Mph speedometer and Saleen gauges for the intercooler temperature and boost pressure. The exterior has all of the Saleen trademark trims and body add-ons. I upgraded the braking system to the Saleen performance, powder coated breaks with slotted rotors. The wheels are the original chrome wheels with center caps (I have an additional set of rims that can be added if desired. The chrome is peeling in some areas and can cause leeks in the tires, so it would be good to have the wheels re-chromed). The car has a Boost-a-pump installed for increased fuel performance and comes with a programmer to adjust fuel/air intake settings. The car has an upgraded sound system along with Amplifier and 12" Subwoofer in the trunk. The original Stereo is included and can be re-installed if desired. This was my dream car coming out of high school and I chose a degree in college that would help me to get a car like this. I was lucky to receive a great job right out of school and purchased this car as the first thing post graduation (I know, not the best use of money, but I wanted to achieve my goals ASAP ;) ). Hopefully this car will go to a new owner who will enjoy it as much as I have already. The car currently has a chip and crack in the front windshield along with a crack/hole in the passenger side tail light. There are some small/minor paint scratches on the body of the car and the door handles. The car was involved in 2 small front end collisions where the hood, quarter panels and bumper were replaced (Along with cosmetics). .
