2001 BMW 540i E39 Hard to find, especially in Moire Grau color I bought this car to fully restore during Covid season and I did just that! Ready for another project. Bought the car w/ 87k miles and touched absolutely everything to make it modern and new again. Drives perfect, no leaks, transmission is smooth with new clutch and fluid. I overhauled the timing system, all new gaskets, spark plugs, radiator, thermostat, water pump and hoses. I also deleted the fan clutch and upgraded to dual electrical fans. Every part of the suspension as well, including 4 new wheel bearings, control arms, Dinan rear sway bar, ball joints, front powerflex bushings and topped it all off with new H&R Coilovers and new rotors with Akebono pads (also brake fluid flush). Put new tires on it and had it aligned. I modernized the interior as well. All interior lights upgraded to blue LED. I swapped all the trim to the matte chrome/aluminum and shift boot , e-brake boot also. I replaced all speakers with Kickers, added a solo baric kicker sub, and added an Android head unit that has Apple CarPlay as well. Sounds great. Lots of minor items like blue suede rear decklid and rear panels.

The ride height is perfect in my opinion and does not rub at all! The M Pars were bought used but overall car looks great. It is a 20 year old car that looks and drives fantastic. It has its rock chips here and there its not perfect at 2 feet away but from 10 feet away it is. Looks great going down the road and gets more attention than I ever expected. No lights on the dash and everything works as it should. I really enjoyed this car, as will its next owner, I simply want to begin another BMW since it is a hobby of mine. Thanks
