Vehicle Details Finally selling my 2001 Ram 1500 2x4 full size pickup truck. It is far and away the best POS truck you will ever have the chance of owning. I never thought I’d sell it but my elderly father has stopped driving so I bought his pickup and now old whitey has got to go since I don’t have the space for it. The model year is 2001 my father in law before he retired was a small town used car dealer and he bought it for me at a dealer auction in 2004 and I’ve owned it since. It was my only vehicle for a couple years until I took a job that provided a company vehicle so I only used it on weekends and for home / yard projects hauling stuff etc. It’s an absolute beast. I love it.So, here’s the “bad”-It’s twenty year old pickup so it’s showing all the body rot in all the places you’d expect-I’ve included a bunch of pictures so as to show the extent of the rust. There is a lot.-The windshield is cracked-The dashboard is cracked due to UV / Heat. The vehicle has never had an accident -The AC doesn’t work. I never bothered to have it fixed since I only used it weekends-General wear and tear due to age. All the bumpers are faded, headlight housing oxidized etc etc.But here is all the “awesome”-As stated above it’s a beast. Seemingly indestructible. Most reliable vehicle I’ve ever owned.-in the 17 years I’ve owned it I’ve only had to do a couple things that I specifically remember, I changed the starter and the alternator. Oh and the fuel lines. -Fires up instantly and always has. Very strong motor. Magnum V8 5.2 Liter-Since I’ve used it just on weekends it only has 148K miles.
