Vehicle description
Vehicle Details 2001 BMW 740i. READ ALL OF THIS / READ CAREFULLY.Ok, here goes. This auction is for a 2001 BMW 740i Sedan. The exterior is black. The interior is black. This was my mothers car, she was the second owner and purchased it in from the dealership in Connecticut as a used car in 2003. From 2003 until her death in 2012, it was garage kept, flawlessly maintained, all service records and driven less than 2,000 miles a year. It than sat for a year. It went into the shop, got four new tires, new brakes and the head gaskets replaced. It was then moved to Florida. From 2012 - 2016, it was one of five cars that I owned and was rarely used. The paint had started to fade, so in 2015 the car was painted at a local autobody shop. It still drove and operated flawlessly. We had replaced the battery once, a new radiator, and anything that needed to be done was always done. From 2016 to 2019, the car was driven by my now ex-wife. She drove the piss out of the car. As part of the divorce proceedings, she had to return it to me.What we found that was when the car was returned, something underneath had broken. I was able to learn from the car fax that she was involved in an accident in August of 2017, but that was all that I could find out. There is ZERO signs of body damage, but something does not feel right. From what I was able to tell, it's got to do with the front drivers suspension. The car wobbles and something is broken. The paint is still good, the engine is rock solid and strong, the interior leather is great. There are are little things like plastic trim pieces, headliner and other things that should be fixed IF (REPEAT IT) this is going to be a daily diver. I have six cars. I made a conscious decision not to put any more money into this car and decided NOT to fix it. The selling price is realistic and reflects two possible options.a. You buy the car to fix and get an amazing daily driver for the price I am asking and the repair costs.b. You buy the car to part out and the engine alone covers what I am selling the car for. I do not haggle, I will answer all questions to the best of my ability. The car is in MARATHON, FL. I would NOT (REPEAT NOT) drive it far due to the front end wobble. It can be seen, started, loaded on a tow, etc. UPDATE: I have additional pictures and video of it running. We put a brand new battery in it (1-March-2020) and it started instantly. I have instructed the garage to do a full oil change and all fluids. Images Download the Motors app
