V70R- the rare R-version! All wheel drive and FAST!
This is a great running V70R, the highest performance model in Volvo"s 2000 lineup. It features the high pressure turbo engine with all wheel drive so the wheels don"t slip on takeoff even when turning on wet pavement! I recently bought it from a customer and did a whole bunch of work on it intending to keep it, but circumstances changed and I have to get rid of some cars.
This is a rare and coveted model; I"m starting the bidding at a fair price and there is NO RESERVE!
MANY NEW PARTS! I planned to keep this car so my mechanics and I went through it and did a bunch of work. Front brake discs and Akebono ceramic pads, new spark plugs, ignition coils, radiator, thermostat, water pump, PCV system, intake gasket, radiator, Volvo coolant. Oil and transmission fluid changed with premium synthetic. Fresh air and cabin filters.
Metallic orangeish-burgundy paint looks great in the sun!
Coveted R-version wheels, in good condition with no bends or serious scratches
Tires in great shape with around 50% tread life
All wheel drive means little to no wheelspin on takeoff despite the powerful engine. Very useful if you find yourself in light snow or a steep unpaved road or driveway.

There is some wear and tear as expected for a car of this age, but overall this car looks great and still has lots of WOW factor especially in the sun.

There are some door dings, and some scratches in the paint mostly below the trimline.
The paint on the hood and less so on the roof has a lot of small blemishes that look like some unfriendly liquid spattered on it once upon a time. Not too noticible from a few steps away.
The paint on top of the plastic bumpers is quite wrinkled from years of sun. The right rear bumper is blemished from a parking lot hit and run.
The seat leather isn"t bad for its age, but has a few small tears and some cracks and wear.
The right headlight glass has a few chips, they"re small and hard to see from a few steps.
The registration expired last month. California buyer responsible for all registration costs. HOWEVER. . there is a parking ticket outstanding, the cost of this will be deducted from the winning bid so it won"t affect your cost for the car. No surprises in store at the DMV.

The car is in good running condition and ready to go, though nobody can guarantee any used car will drive a particular distance without encountering any problems. That said, out of all the cars I"m selling I"d totally leave tomorrow to Alaska, Maine, maybe even Argentina in THIS car; it"s in turnkey condition.
If you need to arrange transport, I can accomodate a transport company all day during business hours M-F so that should go smoothly. Out of country buyers, I can arrange transport to the Port of Los Angeles, Long Beach for a fee; price shipping from there to your local port if you"re interested.
