Vehicle description

I bought this car a few years ago from a local dealer. The engine ran strong but did have a slight tick sound. It would smoke a bit when first started but then would clear up. The tick sound really only appeared once the motor warmed up to temperature. Oil pressure was always good. I bought the car with the idea I"d just drive it till the motor gave out and do an LS swap. Well, about a year and a half ago the motor gave out and with so many other projects going on, I don"t see myself getting into an LS swap anytime in the near future. This car is in what I"d call "FAIR" condition. Certainly not a concours car. A drivers car, not a museum piece. The body is straight, it handles like a dream, the transmission is strong, and it"s a hell of a lot of fun to drive but it DOES have cosmetic issues here and there. Worn shift knob, wear by the interior door handles, one of the front headlights is slightly cloudy, there is about 3 inch tear in the top. (It doesn"t leak, but it"s a tear all the same) the drivers seat would need a reupholster (or fitted with a good seat cover). you know, the sorts of things you"d expect to find on a 20 year old car that has been a daily driver. Tires have less than 100 miles on them and were put on just a few weeks before the engine locked up. The engine IS LOCKED UP. Why? I don"t know. I was driving it and it locked up. Back tires locked up. I pressed the clutch and the car rolled free. I tried to re-start the car and nothing. I tried to release the clutch to "pop" the clutch and the tires locked up. so that motor is locked up. IMS failure? Something else? I dunno. Car has the fancy dual zone climate control, heated seats, GPS/NAV radio, top goes up and down with no problems. There"s a blemish above the drivers side rear tire I took a photo of. If you want any specific photos please let me know and I"ll be happy to take additional photos. This car would be ideal for an LS swap, EV conversion, or if you happen to have a good running Porsche engine laying around a direct swap. If for some reason the car doesn"t get the minimum bid, I"ll just keep and eventually swap the engine out or trade it off for an old motorhome or something so please, don"t bother with lowball offers. I paid $10k for this 4 years ago and just paid it off. A $5500 soaking is about as wet as I"m comfortable getting. I can"t stress this enough. PLEASE ASK ANY AND ALL QUESTIONS BEFORE YOU BID. If you"re expecting this to arrive as a showroom fresh 20 year old Porsche you"re gonna be really disappointed. $2000 deposit is required at the end of the sale. Balance to be paid in 7 days and it needs to be removed from my property within 14 days. (preferably sooner) Car is sold as described but otherwise ABSOLUTELY, BEYOND A SHADOW OF A DOUBT AS IS, NO WARRANTY. Did I mention you should ask any questions or request any additional photos BEFORE bidding? Please and thank you.
