Runs great (like the day that we bought it)
135,000 miles on what is a 300,000 engine and transmission.
Very reliable.
Second owner.
Never towed a thing.
Easiest car you will ever drive.
Joy to drive in the snow; excellent traction and power with a very intuitive and predictable feel.
Well maintained with lots of preventive maintenance.
Working, leak free power sun roof that doesn’t interfere with rooftop cargo.
Power windows and locks.
6CD sound system.
Automatic climate control.
Cargo tiedowns.
Roof rack and rubber roof bumpers.
Rear step bumper.
5 comfortable seats with a split folding rear bench.
Upgraded sway bar.
Electric vehicle systems readout.
This is a family SUV from back when the U (utility) in SUV really mattered. Bought this like new from and elderly couple who moved out of state and was used as a snow and touring family hauler untill it became my daily driver. I planned on driving this vehicle until the wheels fell off and then do an off chasis rebuild. Unfortunately, plans changed and I ended up buying a Jeep Wrangler JKU from my uncles deceased estate to honor his memory. I can’t keep two cars around so i am selling this one.
While it is running a V8, it is still surprisingly gas efficient. If you drive it right, you can get ~15 city, ~21 highway.
I’ve done a fair amount of work on this vehicle to keep it running well and safe. I’ve done pretty extensive work on the front end with replacing the upper control arms and ball joints, lower ball jounts, front sway bar bushing, Sway bar linkages and realignments. In the back there are new leef shackles and a helper spring. Altinator replaced, power steering rebuilt, trans lines replaced, radiator replaced, muffler replaced, and shock struts replaced.
There is a slight drain on the battery that needs to be sorted out but a battery disconect has been installed so that the car can be left for a few days without fear of killing the battery. If used as a daily driver this shouldn’t be an issue.
The “Canyonaro” as my one uncle called it or the “Cluckaneer” as I endearingly called this SUV will make a great camping vehicle or road tripper. Throw your canoe and cooler on the top, your equipment in the back and away you go!
Vehicle must go by the end of April.
