2000 Mazda Miata Special Edition
Up for auction is my beloved 2K Mazda Miata Special Edition in Mahogany Mica with only 38,000 miles. From the outside, the only visible modification is Boss Frog Double Hoop roll bar. Under the hood is the original motor with a Bell Engineering (BEGi) turbo kit yielding 250 rear wheel horsepower and 230 lbs/ft of torque. It"s a blast to drive: a Miata with 100 more horsepower ! Four piston Wilwood front brake calipers provide stellar stopping power. The front and rear pads and rotors are brand new. Tein adjustable coil over shock absorbers allow for ride height and rebound adjustment. The cooling system has been upgraded with a larger all aluminum radiator, and an M-Tuned coolant reroute. The car was tuned by Ken Hill, formerly of Flyin" Miata and has been silky smooth and reliable for 10 years. It’s a perfect car for HPDEs or possibly autocross. It’s been a daily driver for me at times, but mostly a weekend car. The factory hard top is included and has a defroster rear glass window. The soft top has a vinyl window. The elements have finally gotten the better of the paint; the clear coat on the hood and front bumper are spotting and need to be repainted. The interior is in excellent condition. A brand new set of original Mazda Special Edition floor mats are included (new in box). The buyer will be responsible for transportation / shipping cost. The car is road ready if the buyer chooses to drive the car cross country. . The vehicle is in Silver Spring Maryland.
