2000 Jetta GLS TDI Diesel, for parting out or project car, Franklin, NC. Car is registered in Florida. Car is in used condition and being sold "As is". Runs / drives. This would be a great car to start with for a father and son to create a business for their teenage son to part out a car and sell it on Ebay. Just the motor alone used, are going for $1000 and up, or use it to build a rock crawler. The injection pump can go for $400. Recent new headliner, leather interior, just under 290K miles on odometer, motor runs strong. Needs hood latch adjustment – doesn’t pop up when release is pulled, needs trunk latch release repair - “Jetta Trunk Fix Kit”, needs skid plate upgrade - trans overheats – 4th gear slips on long trips, holds good on short trips - newer skid plate has added transmission oil pan air cooling intake. Needs replacement and re-torque of sub-frame bolts – slight sub-frame movement during hard braking. Needs new heater core - minor heater core leak, recently drove over 800 miles without needing to add coolant, needs repair of A/C blend and control doors, needs new center arm rest lid – hinge and latch broken. Replaced trans valve body – Revmax brand @ 275K, valve body line pressure needs adjusting – motor flairs on shifting from 3rd to 4th under load. Has check engine light because of EGR disconnect to prevent intake clogging – just needs new vacuum line. No trunk liner or CD changer – lost in shop fire. Digital exhaust pyrometer, VDO gauges – turbo boost, volt, and oil pressure. Gauge boost pressure at intake showing up around 15psi on acceleration. Fifteen psi oil pressure at hot idle - no warning lights. Two micron Cat fuel filter, PP520 injector nozzles, fuel pump has no leaks. Electric mirror adjustment switch accidentally left unplugged. Damage to left rear quarter panel, peeling clear coat. Have ran Amsoil 15w40 Heavy-Duty Diesel and Marine Oil or Amsoil Series 3000 5W-30 Synthetic Heavy Duty Diesel Oil for last 16 years. Did all my own service. Will need timing belt service in 35,000 miles. Complete timing belt kits were from Diesel Geek. No warranty or returns. Serious inquiries and bids only please.
