Vehicle description
I"m selling my 2000 Audi S4 project. Everything is here to build a complete car. It has approx. 88k miles and is in very good, well above average condition. We removed the engine 2 years ago after one of the stock turbos failed and I upgraded to genuine Borg Warner Ko4s along with a new water pump, Timing belt etc. The clutch is strong so we didn"t plan to replace it but it would be an EASY thing to replace now before the engine goes back in. The car comes with a new, never mounted, front mount intercooler, 2 ECMs. One ECM is a stock base tune and the other has GIAC tunes for the current setup. The car is also equipped with 3" downpipes. The rims are 2 stage powder coated transparent O.Z racing wheels. I was told that these were magnesium rims but I don"t know how to tell. I did notice that they were an odd shade of silver before they were powder coated. The rims are all the exact same color even though they look different in the pictures. The tires have less than 200 miles on them. It has adjustable suspension. The hood is carbon fiber, NOT a wrap. The front bumper will need some glass work. It was cracked when I bought it and has broken apart when being moved from location to location while in storage. The right front wheel bearing was also replaced. The car needs some assembly and TLC and I don"t have the time to finish the project. If you don"t see certain parts in the pictures and want to make sure that they"re here then feel free to ask about them but rest assured that everything is here. The turbos are mounted and the engine is ready to be put back into the car. I decided to sell it as is with motor out of it so the buyer can see that everything has been done correctly. You don’t have to guess about anything, you can see everything. This will make a very reliable car. As most of you know, the turbos alone are over $3000. I have spent almost $4000 in new parts. You"ll be hard pressed to find a nicer S4 project for the money. I bought this car at the Columbus city impound auction for $6500. It was seized and held for a length of time until the local judge on the case declared it city property and was eventually auctioned at one of the Impound auctions. When this is done the city doesn"t waste time trying to get the title they have the authority to issue a "rebuilt title" at the time of purchase. For this reason the title does have "rebuilt" written on it. I haven"t seen anything, anywhere that would indicate that this car has ever been wrecked. There"s no inspection or any crap to go thru to title it. The title can be transferred and licensed just like any other car. The title is clear. I drove this car for approx. 3,000 miles before the turbo failed. I"m sure that there"s a lot of things that aren"t listed here so don"t hesitate to contact me. I know this is lot digest but you can feel confident that you"re buying from a well respected car guy. This car has been in a temp controlled environment and treated like any of my other daily drivers. Payment will be cash when picked up. Feel free to have someone stop by and look at it for you if you"re not near Urbana, Ohio. . . . . . . . . . . . . .…………….…Edit added 5-29-20:. .………………. My son just looked at this description and laughed. He told me that there"s a whole bunch more parts at the shop on the 2nd floor. Basically everything that you need is here. I"ll be getting some more pics soon but rest assured that all the parts are here and have been in a dry, climate controlled environment. This car will clean up and look great. I was on the fence about putting a new clutch in it while it"s apart but since the clutch never slipped I didn"t buy one. All and all. . .I think i"d put it in, what"s another 7 or 800 for a good clutch. That would complete this build and be a very strong, reliable 5 to 550hp car. I also have the special tools for holding the cam sprockets while installing a belt as well as the crank pin to insure that the crank doesn"t get out of time while installing the belt. I"m sure there are many things that I haven"t thought of but you"ll get all my S4 stuff. I"ll add more details as I think of them. . . . .………………………. . .Editied on 5-31-20. .…………………. ……. additional pictures. . copy and paste this link into your browser. .… https:/ postimg.cc/gallery/5JLj3Nw
