My son is going to College and my wife and I bought a Z4 convertible. Take that out of the picture, this jeep would not be for sale. Its been a happy part of our family!
BODY
Just 8 Months ago, I put money 4K+ into the body of the jeep to keep it going for the next 15 Years professionally by Garden State Undercoating. IF YOU DONT BUY THIS AND YOU ARE LOCAL. . THEY ARE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
1. Sanded and undercoated the Chassis 2. Repainted the body the same red color that came for the factory in a matte "RHINO LINE" Material: All you need to do now is powerwash the car LOL and it always looks good. 3. Repainted in the same "RHINO LINE" Type Material the hard top Black inside and out. LOOKS GREAT! 4. Installed New Rims and Tires. Less than 8K miles and SO MUCH BETTER than the loud Toyo"s that were on it. 5. Sanded/Repainted the Trim black.
6. See picture of new bumper not installed which is included to replace the one that was bent by a tree. Truck fine 7. 4 Rough Rugged tube doors INCLUDED. Purchased them used and do not have key
TOPS
1. The soft top is complete but the back window needs to be replaced 2 The Bikini Top was damaged in storage, but the frame is included. 3. The roll bars are set up for bar pads which look great as the original parts included are usable but in so-so condition.
ENGINE.
1. The was rebuilt around 200K miles and is strong! The only bummer is I replaced the CATS with an aftermarket product here on Ebay that was not the best. The sensors work and then do not. THAT IS THE DASH LIGHT is currently on. I have been able to get it to work for inspection, but didn"t feel the need to replace it. That will be up to the new owner.
TRANSMISSION AND REAR END REBUILT AND REPLACED
1 Transmission Rebuilt less than a year! 2. Rear end Rebuilt Less than a year!
The Interior is good and usable. There is a small burn hole in the seat. The front and rear carpets are long gone and replaced with new liner materials $600 that look so much better than stock and protect the car better.
The radio was replaced with a sony system with Apple Play.
Brief history of the car.
I bought the car new and put 200K miles on it mostly highway. Prior to blowing the engine with a bad waterpump, the car cost me so little to own. I had no hesitation putting a new motor in it. When the trans and rear was damaged last year, I thought why sell it when it looks and rides awesome and will so for years to come.
I did the 2.5 inch suspension and aftermarket fenders, bumpers, hood when I got into an accident going uphill, hitting ice and tapping a telephone pole. It is a safe car FYI. It was a no brainer to do what I always wanted to do hence the look. The truck was super fun and great for me and my family. Both my older boys used it in High School and it couldn"t have been a better and smarter choice.
The reason I put the money in the Jeep was because I wanted to keep the Jeep but plans change and someone will be happy buying this truck. It"s not perfect. . but pretty awesome. I would have ZERO hesitation driving it anywhere or to Maine or Florida. Again, The only reason I am selling is because of a convertible my wife and I wanted. Keeping it to sit makes no sense.
