Vehicle description
Selling our 1999.5 VW Cabrio MK3.5. We purchased this Cabrio from Florida for my daughters many years ago. They used the Cabrio around town and to commute into NYC for school. As you can tell, it"s a bit scratched from parking in the city and has some rust (no holes yet) from winter in the northeast.
Top was replaced a few years ago but still leaks a bit and has one small hole in the back (PS).
All mechanicals work, no check engine light. It passed inspection, just needs some TLC on the body. Very solid car, I have two more VWs and except for cosmetics they are all in great condition.
Here are a few things I"ve done in the past few years:
Last month I installed a new battery ($190.00)
New tires, also have two newer snow tires on steel black rims that come with the car.
Rear rotors and calipers.
Secondary Air System and a few hard plastic hoses.
Tuneup and a few other things I can"t remember right now.
The Bad:
Starting to rust (as you can see in pictures)
Driver side door handle is from an MK3 and needs to be adjusted
PS front fender, daughter spun out in the rain and hit a railing
Driver seat has small hole but the cushion was replaced a few years ago, seats are dirty
Scratches on front and rear bumper
Very solid Cabrio, needs some work to make it look pristine. Sold AS-IS.
Daughters don"t need it anymore, youngest bought a used Rabbit (MKV) and oldest lives in NYC so no need for vehicle.
I"ve shipped and had vehicles shipped to me so I can help with shipping. Need the space but not in a rush to sell.
I do have a box with extra new and used parts which I will include with the sale along with a Haynes Manual. Have two sets of keys (No FOB).

I found another stock rim and tire but the rim is scratched up.
Sold AS-IS.
