Vehicle description
Drop the lift gate window, pop the clutch and roll into August in this iconic dream machine/#raddad mobile. Representing the height of design functionality and Japanese engineering, the 3rd Generation 4Runner is a true legend. There"s just no beating it, and this a great example of the beloved vintage.
It"s black. It"s got a manual transmission. It"s got low mileage. And it"s ready to roll for another two decades.
A true classic right here.
The backstory:
I bought this car in 2012. It had been sitting for a while. I have no records for the car from this time, but Carfax reports no accidents and regular maintenance. Since 2012, I"ve kept most records. The major work I"ve had done includes:
-Timing Belt -New gas tank (fuel pump and hoses) -Recent brake work (including new lines) -All belts replaced -New clutch -Regular oil changes and tire rotations
With only 80k miles (Actual mileage is just under 80k - slightly more than in the photo here), there"s a lot of life left in this truck. There is rust so please see pics for more about that. I"ve had the frame and truck checked out by numerous mechanics though (including Toyota of Manhattan) who all feel it"s perfectly safe. I did have some parts of the frame box-welded to reinforce because I"m that type of person who likes to make sure things are buttoned up.
Though the truck is in perfect working order, you will notice signs of it being a 20 year old vehicle (small stains and rips in the interior as well as small scratches, missing trim parts and dings to the paint). Overall, it"s in very good shape for a truck of this age and looks a lot better at 21 than I did.
With the right care this truck is ready for another two decades on the road. .easy.
