Vehicle description
I am happy to offer my 1999 Porsche Boxster. Over the past year I have spent countless weekends getting her fixed up. Here is a video showing how it looks and runs now and some of my experience under the hood of this Porsche. I"m starting the bidding at MY purchase price of $2250, but have a BUY IT NOW price as well.
This is a 20 year-old vehicle. It is not in show condition, which is why it isn’t priced at $30k.

This has been such a fun project. I never thought that I would be able to afford a Porsche. Now that I have experienced it, I will likely always own one. (I already bought a second one that needs a little love.)
Here is what I have done over the past year:
Brand new top (professionally installed, A5 authentic leather top)
Reupholstered driver’s seat (professional install)
New spark plugs
New oxygen sensors
New air/oil separator
New low temp thermostat
New coolant pressure relief valve
New brake pads and rotors all around
New dipstick tube
New oil change
New air filter
New fuel filter
New steering wheel plate
New battery - max cranking amps available
This vehicle comes with the original Porsche stereo system that includes the 6 disc changer.
It also has a TCS OFF button in case you need to lay a little rubber for your fans. (I admit, I did do this once at the request of some friends.)
This car also has a beefy exhaust. If you watch the video, you can hear me set off car alarms as I rev the engine down by the beach.
The car runs great and the 5 speed manual transmission shifts like butter.
Here are the not-so-great things about this Porsche. I would like for you to know exactly what you are buying. (Please forgive me if I forget anything.)
The power top is now a manual top.
There is an aftermarket alarm that I don’t know much about. I don’t set it, but it gives a little chirp every time I start the car.
I have done a lot of repaint on parts of the car. Watch the video for details.
The front plastic bumper was cracked. It is now patched, but if you look close, you can see the it is not perfectly rounded.
No spare tire
The center console lid closes fine and locks, but the plastic hinge is broken, so it can come all of the way off. (I have found that this is typical of these old Porsches.)
Also, I just had it professionally clayed / polished, including professional headlight restoration.
This car has been an awesome experience. I hope that you love it as much as I did. I just got involved with Porsche Club of America #PCA and have really enjoyed the experience. I will be posting on multiple sites and reserve the right to remove from this site if I receive another offer. Happy driving!
