This 1999 SL500 is my mom"s pampered car that has less than 53,500 miles. It is powered by 5.0L SOHC 24 Valve V8 producing 302 HP / 339 Ft Lb. The exterior color is Glacier White and the interior is Ash. This 2 top car features a black soft top. Everything is like it left the factory from Mercedes. The hardtop has been off the car maybe 4 times since taking ownership. We are the second owners. When I took the hardtop off the car to photograph it, I noticed the soft top showed some yellowing on the rear window and will need to be cleaned. Soft top operation is flawless and fun to watch as it goes through the unlocking and locking sequence.
To nitpick the car a little bit, the 17” wheels should be re-chromed because there is some flaking. The rear convertible deck lid is showing some cracking in the leather as I tried to show in photo #8. The front air dam has a small scrape on the right side way down low (photo #1) and the clear coat has deteriorated on the outside mirror housings.
This is a 21 year old car. It has been driven, albeit not a lot, and has some small rock chips in the paint on the front (photo #5). There are no door dings.This car is clean, tight and a sought after Mercedes model. The engine has no hiccups and will come to life if you ask it. Air conditioning works. Transmission shifts smoothly.
This car is ready to drive anywhere. It has a fresh oil change, new Michelin Pilot Sport AS tires, new battery, new headliner, newer factory underhood insulation and new factory auto-dimming driver’s rearview mirror glass (original one yellowed).
Vehicle comes with the original sales info, receipts, owner"s manuals, window sticker and covers for the hardtop and body plus the standard tool and first aid kits. I have done my best to describe this stylish car, but I am sure there will be some questions you might have. Non smoker.
