Vehicle description
1999 Mazda Miata NB, Dark Blue, 190K miles, style bar, black leather in great condition, great roof, good tires, good brakes, good paint, fresh oil change, AC blows cold, heat blows hot, stock stereo/CD, minimal rust in the normal places for an 18 year old car.
I"ve had the car about a year and it was meticulously maintained by its previous owner.
I was driving this car to work at least three days a week, until last week. . While driving with the AC on, I heart a faint squeaking sound. Hindsight being 20/20, the squeak was a pinhole leak in the radiator which turned into a much bigger hole when it popped shortly thereafter. When it did, unfortunately it was an inopportune time to immediately pull over and by the time I did, the car had overheated and would not restart. I had the shop run a compression test and two cylinders had no compression while the other two registered 25, suggesting a warped head cylinder.
I"m selling it as is as a parts car or a project car for someone experienced in head resurfacing. Asking $1,300. I"m not looking to give it away and would rather keep it and eventually fix it than sell it for a lowball offer.
