FOR THOSE WHO LIKE DETAILS Car was purchased unseen by me in February for $1,500 from my wife"s co-worker because I heard the low mileage.
She is a single mom, laid off due to covid so it was purchased basically to help her out.
When I went to pick up the car and drive it home, the drive axles were "clacking" and the brakes went to the floor.
The metal on metal noises coming from the front was enough to make me wonder what I got myself into.
It would never have made it to my house so I immediately turned around and had it transported. Had my mechanic look at it and we assessed what it needed
You can see the last photo - I kept a running record of everything I purchased for this.
The price seen in that photo $1,800+ is just parts and transportation.
That does not include the mechanics bills. (You inherit all records upon purchase.) I reset the "Trip A" upon purchase to see if these Hondas really do get great mileage.
100 miles on half a tank?
Wish I"d discovered this sooner before I bought my Yukon XL Why don"t I just put the remaining parts and work into this?
Because I"m not taking this with us and I"m already listing this for $1,500+ less than what I have into it. (see last photo)
I will never get the money back so I"ll let the person who is going to drive this for the next 200,000 + miles take care of that ???????? I wrapped the broken Flex pipe with heat wrap so it isn"t noisy but it"ll need to be replaced eventually
There"s an amazing 4-2-1 exhaust here on ebay you can put on it. ???????? The passenger door lock actuator is a common problem on these.
The plastic gears wear down and there"s a horrific "grinding" noise when you use the driver side unlock rocker switch.
Replacing it is easy ???????? The headliner is sagging a little towards the rear but doesn"t obstruct view or touch your head.
Search Youtube for a video on how easy it is to remove and repair these. This is everything I know about this vehicle.
Check my feedback.
My word and reputation is more important to me than a sale.
