The Shelby Dodge Durango SP360
This is an extra rare Carroll Shelby collaboration, No. 53 of only 300 made.
This supercharged Shelby-modified Dodge Durango was one of the drivers of the modern horsepower race, that ignited in the mid-nineties by the team behind the Dodge Viper, and quickly boiled over into the light truck market with the SP360 and the near simultaneous reintroduction of the SVT Ford Lighting.
The Dodge/Shelby collaboration was one of the original sparks of inspiration that gave birth to the modern performance SUV. It also represents the last Shelby partnership at Dodge, ending in 2000. This particular unit is in pristine condition.
This unit is housed in a collector’s garage in Washington state and impeccably maintained and cared for.
The SP 360 features the classic blue and double white GTS racing stripe.
It houses a Kenne Bell Supercharger and produces 360HP and 412ft/lb of torque.
This unit is also a 4WD model, which was not offered on all of the 300 units, making this example even more special, capable and unique.
The Shelby badge is one of the most sought after emblems in car collecting. This example is a particularly advantageous entry point for investors. As other Shelby models become more and more unobtainable, and this example approaches the 25 year mark, it is sure to produce favorable returns in the near term. It is a most attractive, unique and accessible entry point to the Shelby market.
