1999 CHEVROLET CORVETTE
CONVERTIBLE
ONLY 56K MILES! !
I have to be honest. . .I was never a Corvette guy. Growing up in the 70"s and 80"s I was always partial to big luxury cars however, I remember my neighbor had an 80 Vette and I remember them being very difficult to get out of even as a kid. But I must say, after buying this Corvette, I actually enjoyed the ride, the power, the sound and of course the looks. (not me the car!) The C5 version of the Corvette had a much better design of the floor in the cockpit area. It is very easy to get in and out of and I can see why the C5 is very popular today. The ride is also very comfortable. It cruises at 85mph effortlessly and you can still talk to your passenger with the top down without shouting. Owning such a car allows you a membership to an unspoken club bound by the name CORVETTE. Friendly waves and thumbs up. A polite conversation about your car and loyalty amongst owners that are always ready to help or share an idea or an upgrade on how you can make your Vette stand out. Well. . .below I offer up my Corvette for no reserve and allow someone to enjoy this car as much or even more than I did. Please read on to find out more information. . .Thank You!
Exterior:
The exterior of the car presents very well but there is 56k miles of minor chips, scratches, blemishes and scuffs. The paint does shine very well for being nearly 23 years old. The chrome wheels are sharp and shine very bright however on the outside very, very minor pitting but the inside of the wheel beyond the face there is a good portion of pitting. The tires are just about new and all the lights and signals work. No glass damage either. The convertible top is original with no rips or tears. If you want a perfect show quality finish, this car would have to be repainted, but to enjoy and enhance the exterior with a professional detail and minor touch ups and continue using it as a driver/show car would be just fine. You still get the occasional ( hey buddy !? Nice car! ) Please view all the photos and video and let me know of any questions you may have.
Interior:
The interior is 100% original and in excellent condition. There is very minor wear on the driver"s seat bolster and lower corner seat area. See photos. A good interior guy can work magic for very little money on the driver"s seat. The rest of the interior is excellent. Everything works including the heads up display. The a/c blows cold and the heat hot. All the gauges work except the oil gauge reads 80 psi. Not sure if that"s accurate or not. I did remove the sun visors and place them in the trunk because they were a pain flopping down as you were driving. The car does have an owner"s manual and 2 sets of keys. The remotes need new batteries. Please view the pictures and let me know of any questions you may have.
Drive-Train:
What"s there to say about the relentless 5.7 Litre 350cu. V8. Since I"ve never owner a Vette before and hardly driven them, this thing rips! ! It runs flawlessly and very powerful. In my research it produces 345 horse and 350 foot lbs of torque. I can tell the car was very well maintained mechanically and not to mention the B & B exhaust, this car sounds UNGODLY. But very subtle during normal driving but when opened up, man you can really hear it. Underneath the car is very clean and I wouldn"t hesitate taking driving this anywhere. The car is very comfortable and sporty and a great pleasure to drive. Let me know of any questions you may have.
In Summation:
Such a great car to enjoy, I actually see myself getting a car like this when I retire so I can still take it to shows, take it on vacation, and do some light tinkering in the garage during the weekends. Its fast, sounds like a pure muscle car, yet efficient and easy to maintain. Please ask as many questions as you like.
Payment:
I own a small dealership and DO NOT CHARGE DOC FEES! The only fee you will pay is $20.00 if you need a temporary tag. (In order to print a tag you"ll have to show proof of insurance. Also, if you"re an NJ resident we do collect the 6.625% sales tax at the time of delivery. I require a $1000 non refundable deposit within 24 hours of end of auction and the balance is due in certified funds. If paying by certified check, car can not leave until check/funds have cleared the account. Any questions about payment feel free to ask.
