Cadillac Eldorado. Currently registered until October 2021 in California. My son bought it around 2013. He then went overseas and I bought it from him. When he bought it, it had the AC completely redone. My other son drove it for a while. Nothing major has ever been done to it. It"s never overheated. Still runs and drives fine. But there are some thing that need attention.
The good: 1) Engine runs good 2) Tranny seems to be in great shape 3) New tires and and original wheels all the way around 4) Car passes California smog and is currently registered. 5) Air compressor works and blows cold The not so good: 1) Broken windshield. Looks like someone hit it with a hammer. Pretty sure someone did. 2) Oil leak. It"s slow but steady. Not enough for the thing to go low on oil. (this engine holds 8 quarts!) The car is not driven often so now the oil smells after its warmed up. . 3) There is some issue with the suspension. The Antilock light stays on. Not sure what it is. Haven"t looked into it. This does not keep it from passing smog 4) The fan blower motor makes a lot of racket. You can see on youtube that the replacement of this motor is straightforward. But I haven"t done it yet. 5) Recently, my son noticed that in stop/go traffic when it"s warm, you can see the temperature gauge creep up. It"s never overheated, however. 6) Driver side mirror was damaged. Motor still works. Put aftermarket replacement glass in there. 7) Some clearcoat degradation on hood and roof.
