Bought this car a little over 2 years ago for daughter"s college and it ran great up until the other day when it started missing.
Compression Test reveals low #2 and #3 cylinders. Possible head gasket problem.
There is a new battery, all 4 tires recently replaced and when I first bought it, I replaced cooling system hardware. . water pump, thermostat, fan clutch, reservoir, fan pulley and belts as well as hoses.
I replaced headlight lenses so they look nice and clear and windshield was replaced due to a mishap about 6 months ago.
I had an appointment with BMW to take care of the airbag recall but no longer see the need.
Had every intention of keeping this up with consistent improvements but this engine issue has forced my hand, no longer a candidate for a schoolgirl.
Some minor body dings and small dent on RH fender but overall appearance very good
Check Engine light is on of course with the missing. But also has battery light on even though it"s charging, power steering light due to sensor, airbag light is a recall, antilock brake light due to sensor.
Stereo and CD player work well as well as air conditioning and heating systems.
Interior needs some cleaning and maybe new carpeting but that will depend on new owner.
Great car for parts or restoration.
I could sell this car locally so listing may end at any time.
