Vehicle description
Selling my favorite sleeper due to a quick move across the country for work that required me to leave it behind at my parents" home.
This car"s looks are very misleading, and I loved that. I"m pretty sure the Carfax shows it has a clean record, but it has been smacked into a couple times. It had a beat up body kit front bumper on it when I got it which I believe was a replacement for a damaged original front bumper, so I threw a stock "99 bumper on it and threw the fiberglass bumper away. The previous owner had also painted it gray, which is a nice looking color on the car but the job itself wasn"t exactly top notch. It was also backed into on the passenger side while I had it parked on the street, but it was already a sleeper so I didn"t stress repairing it. The windshield has a crack in it but it"s in a spot that never bothered me. So in short, it could certainly use some body love but it is mechanically sound and VERY fast. This is a great opportunity to own a super quick turbo Integra that was meticulously maintained and professionally dyno tuned, and you can either have her fixed up and painted, make a rail car (exo) out of it, or drive it like it is and leave unsuspecting Mustangs wondering how that just happened. The car was in my garage unused for the last few years because I was working and in school full time, so I installed a new battery and put some fresh Mobil 1 in it and a new filter. I"d give the interior a good wipe down and air it out because it picked up a stale basement smell from sitting, I just didn"t have the time before I moved.
NOW THE GOOD (what I can remember, I"m sure there"s a lot I"ve forgotten!):
The turbo kit install and dyno tune were completed by Jim (owner) of Motorvations in Trussville AL. He is a Honda tuning guru and people come from all over to have him work on their vehicles. There was an RSX from Canada also being modified in his shop while he was tuning my Integra. The car is currently set to only 10 PSI of boost and is making 240 horsepower at the wheels on this tune. It can very easily be cranked up higher for more power, but I used this car as a daily driver as well for a long time so I wanted it completely safe on the motor and Jim said at 10 PSI you"re getting double the horsepower (140hp stock at the crank is the equivalent of 120hp at the wheels, and with this tune you are getting twice that to the wheels) and there is relatively no risk to the motor at all. If you want to go nuts and turn it up higher, it can handle that too. I just wanted a good balance of power and longevity and 10PSI worked perfectly for that as it"s still running like a champ.
