I"ve owned this car for over 10 years. One day I accidentally used the key from my E300D to start the car and now the car will not detect the original keys. I have both original keys! It has been parked in the same spot about six to eight months and has not been regularly used in about two years. This time last year I had a new fuel pump installed, new air mass sensor, and used throttle body installed. It was running great and sad such a simple thing can lock out the key security system. I"m no longer interested in this vehicle and want it removed asap because we are building a garage. The engine and transmission are in great shape. The paint needs work, clear coat is lifting. The only thing that didn"t work was the radio. The hood strut is bad. The battery is bad. The tires are OLD but all hold air and never went flat. The interior also needs some work. The panel under the driver dash, or driver side knee area has fallen off. Expect wear and tear on the car.
I have not taken the car anywhere to get it looked at. It has been parked at the same spot since the key incident. The driveway is approximately 30ft from where the car sits. Please come with a trailer and tow rope to get it out.
