1998 GMC Sierra regular cab short bed RWD in black/gray. 305 V8, automatic and manual windows/locks. I ordered this truck new in the spring of 1998. It was intended to be a daily driver and it was for six months. After that it was retired to nice weather only. Notice the rain guards, hatch cover and bed liner. The truck was ordered "rear bumper delete" and an aftermarket one was installed at purchase time. A year later it was lowered 2/4 with a Hotchkis TVS system designed to improve handling. The kit consists of springs front and rear, thick sway bars and a panhard rod. I also added hood pins, cat-back dual exhaust, a chrome cup Autometer tach, Cragar S/S wheels (which are a little pitted now) and some subtle pinstriping which includes Corvette emblems on the front fenders. It was done with "one shot" and can be removed. Around the year 2000 it received a small "ding" on the driver"s side front fender right above where the bumper wraps around. It was fixed and is impossible to tell. A few years ago it was sold to a car collector as I needed garage space. (I have several cars). This individual drove the truck 900 miles in 19 months. He wanted to sell and contacted me and I bought it back as I had room for it! In his ownership time it got a small "ding" on the leading edge of the hood. It"s hard to photograph and could be removed by a "painless dent" person. The paint did not get scratched. There"s also a tiny chip the size of a pinhead on the right rear quarter above the wheel. You can see it if you look up closely when next to it. I just bought another vehicle and once again need the garage space. The bed is scratch free. Occasionally groceries or small packages were put in the back. That"s it. This is an honest truck where everything works as it should. No leaks, smoke or funny noises. It"s always been in a warm/dry garage and is taken out once a week for exercise. It has 43,000 miles on it. All original equipment. Several years ago the water pump had to be replaced(it developed a leak) and I still have the original. I have the original rally wheels, caps, rings etc. Also included are the original front and rear springs. Included is EVERY single piece of paperwork from order of truck forward. Window sticker, original keys, salesman"s business card, dealership brochure and magazine article featuring the lowering kit. Just passed Massachusetts inspection last month.
