Vehicle description
Up for sale a 1998 Wheelchair Conversion Van. I have had this van for a long time and it runs great with no engine related mechanical problems. Braun Wheelchair lift works fine. The lift has controls in van beside the lift and a separate set of controls in the front of the van beside the driver. There is a bench seat in the back which lays down flat. There is a TV which I tested and it works fine. It can run off of your portable DVD player which can be placed in the upper storage compartment beside the TV. The video jack to the TV is in that compartment. The van is wired with an XM radio antenna and I just tested it with an XM radio and it worked fine. We are selling because my wife bought a newer wheelchair van for our daughter. This was the older of 2 wheelchair van"s we have and we used it as our secondary wheelchair vehicle so it has very low miles. We found it was good to have two vehicles so one could be a backup vehicle. Now the not so good stuff. The AC doesn"t work well. It seems to work some but can"t keep the van cool on a hot day. It also needs new tires. The tires on it should get you to where you are going when you pick it up if it"s not too very far but they need to be replaced soon. If you want to replace them before you pick it up there is a good tire shop near my home and I can work with you to get them replaced. As I said the van is in good working order except the AC and tires and being sold for only a few thousand dollars. We now have 3 wheelchair vehicles in the driveway and we must get this one sold. It would be a fine van to use as a backup vehicle or a vehicle that would have light use during the summer months. I would only plan on using it as a sole wheelchair vehicle if you are going to do what it takes to get the AC working. When we visited the local Ford dealer looking for a newer van he showed us one just like the one we are selling except it was 10 years newer and the AC worked and it had 10,000 less miles. He wanted $30,000 for basically the same van. At just $3,600 for a functional wheelchair vehicle it is priced to sell. I encourage anyone interested to come and have a test drive if possible.
