Vehicle description
About this vehicle This 1998 Chevrolet Express G3500 is an original. The owner has had it for 5+ years. The vehicle runs great and is mainly used for weekend drives. Seller"s Notes I am willing to work with buyer on shipping or pickup times and availability. I can provide more images and video upon request for serious buyers. Vehicle Details For sale was one of my father's beloved trucks. Only 31,xxx miles! ! No roller over. Carfax and DMV proven. Since his passing, I have moved and brought the truck with me. For over 4 years it has sat my garage, used sparingly. It is a genuine time capsule that is in almost perfect condition for its age. It is a 1998 Express G3500 with the extended wheel base, 7.4L 454 motor and towing package. On the exterior the truck is an 8+/10. The paint is not faded as it has lived inside my garage and before that my father's garage for a decade. The truck must have had side running boards at some point in its life. It has holes drilled for them buy to my knowledge we never had them since purchase. I would recommend sealing these holes and or putting a new side step/running board. Especially if the truck will live outside. Besides that there's a few super small tends on the hood. Almost like a pin, not sure where or what caused them. You'd never know they were there from 10 ft away. The underside looks better than any of my 2010+ vehicles. Minor surface rust as to be expected but I have included some images. Please refer to those. The interior is also an 8+/10 it is clean and recently vacuumed. I have all 3 rows of seats, images only show one as the other two are wrapped up in my garage. They look brand new. Some panels show movement. I remember my father removing some interior panels, not sure why, I am not going to touch them but someone who knows these trucks well will most likely want to adjust them and make the truck perfect. Engine/drive train. The truck starts every time and purrs. The engine and transmission feel and sound and shift brand new. As they should qith 31,xxx miles. The 7.4L motor is an absolutely beast and the transmission is quick to kick down and is an absolute blast. On the highway you have exceptional passing power. The truck surprises you with how quickly it can accelerate. To my knowledge my father never towed a single thing with this truck and neither have l. The most I've ever used it, as a truck, has been to move a few pieces of furniture for friends! The only maintenence that has been done since my father's and my subsequent ownership has been: One brake line has been replaced and the instrument cluster was recently replaced. The gauges stopped working. I had ISS rebuild the whole display and everything works perfectly. I wouldn't hesitate to drive this any long distance and it's an absolute beauty that with some attention would be worthy of bring a trailer or near showroom condition. Along with fluids. It really is a time capsule. New lowered reserve. Exterior Interior Engine Download the Motors app
