About this vehicle This 1997 Subaru SVX is an original. The owner has had it for 5+ years. The vehicle runs great and is mainly used for weekend drives. Seller"s Notes Very nice 1997 Subaru SVX LSi AWD. Well maintained, well cared for and been the owner since 2009. New tires just installed. This is the last year of the SVX. Only 640 total 1997 SVX’s were sold. Very low production. Rarest of the SVX. 166k miles and still runs and drives great and has been very dependable. Italian designed, featuring a “glass-on-glass” canopy. Sued two-tone interior. Powered by a EG33 model 3.3-liter DOHC 24 valve flat-six boxer engine.4 speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive with active torque splitting and a vicious limited-slip rear differential. Collectible Grand Tourer that’s one of the most intriguing and eccentric cars in Subaru’s history. Exterior The original paint is starting to show some wear but still polishes up nice and looks good. Clear coat flaking and minor paint chips and blemishes when up close. Minor dings and scuffs from normal use. Can be easily fixed if desired. Interior The interior is in very nice condition. The driver side door hinge does click when opening, the plastic door sill cover molding trim piece is broken from the insert tabs but I still have the piece. The center console storage compartment has small crack that you can see in the pictures, the passenger side interior door panel has 1/2 inch size tear. See photos. All and all it"s still is good condition for the age of the vehicle. Engine All routine maintenance performed throughout ownership, including new alternator, power steering belt and hoses, rear brakes, throttle position sensor, main relay, mass air flow sensor, driver and passenger side CV shafts. The single rear windshield wiper has stopped working, the washer sprays but the wiper doesn’t turn on. The front wipers work good. The air conditioner blows warm air. I had the system checked and no leaks and compressor is working so it might be a sensor. Heater and defroster works good. The factory radio antenna is not operating. Other then those small items everything else is working great. Created on the Motors app
