A total of 396 prowlers all identically equipped and all painted (Prowler Purple) Were produced in the combined 1997-98 production year. All 97-98 Prowlers were hand-biult at the Conner Avenue Plant in Detroit MI. With the first models bing sent to select dealers in July 1997, demand for Prowlers was so great that dealers were receiving nearly double $38,300 list price.
