Vehicle description
Up for sale is a classic Nissan Hardbody pickup in its last year. I"ve owned this truck since late 2017 and typically drive it to work a couple days a week and to the dump on weekends. I had planned on keeping the truck for a long time but have since decided I need something a bit bigger. I have performed the following maintenance since I purchased the truck: Complete tune up including plugs, distributor cap, wires Timing chain & tensioner replacement with new oil pump, harmonic damper, water pump, radiator and valve cover gasket All new belts New clutch, resurfaced flywheel, & new rear main seal along with new transmission & transfer case seals New front brakes, rotors, Warn hubs, shocks, sway bar bushings, and a front end alignment New Interstate battery installed in 2021 Michelin LTX Tires installed in 2018 with 7-8/32 tread remaining EGR Delete VSS replaced Fast idle thermal element replaced with new OEM Nissan unit All fluids/lubricants replaced Draw-tite receiver hitch
The AC blows cold and the truck doesn"t burn or leak any fluids. Transmission and transfer case work smoothly and there are no noises or vibrations at any speed in any gear. Engine runs silky smooth and pulls strong. Oil changes have been done every 3k miles or annually since I"ve had the truck with synthetic oil & a Nissan filter. All the lights and gages function as they should with the exception of the speedometer occasionally dropping out. It usually only happens in cold weather and rarely lasts for more than a few minutes. The check engine light is not on but there is usually a stored code for the EGR (hence the EGR deletion) along with a VSS code (I assume associated with the speedometer issue). Neither affect the drivability of the truck. It will need new CV boots at some point in the future as both sides have some cracking, however there are no noises coming from the CV joints themselves. The body is solid with the exception of a bit (maybe 3/8" or so) of rust above the passenger rear wheel and an area that was previously repaired in the same area on the driver side. The area on the driver side is larger and the repair appears to have been a DIY effort by the previous owner and affects an area about 3" tall by 16" long and can be seen in the last picture. You don"t really notice it until you get close to the truck, but it"s there. Otherwise the body looks really good for a truck this age but has the normal dings and dents associated with a truck that has been used as an actual truck. The interior has held up remarkably well with only minor wear and tear present on the seat as shown in the pictures.
This truck has been very reliable and I would not hesitate to hop in and drive it anywhere. I"ve spent a lot of time and money getting this thing to be a solid, dependable ride and the reserve is set accordingly. I"m happy to provide additional pics if you need them or could even do a FaceTime call if there are multiple items that need to be discussed. Please don"t hesitate to shoot me an email if you have any questions at all.
