About this vehicle This 1997 Mercedes-Benz SL500 is an original. The owner has had it for 5+ years. The vehicle runs great and is used as a daily driver. Vehicle Details Up for sale is my 1997 Mercedes SL500 40th anaversary edition. I’ve owned it since 2013, but I knew the previous owner since he was a customer of mine ( I’m a former MB Tech and our family had a MB repair shop for 20 years ) The good , every scheduled service has been performed and logged in the maintenance booklet. Car runs great , transmission shifts perfect every time , just completed the major service , air filters , cabin filter , fuel filter , transmission fluid and filter , spark plugs and oil & filter using only original factory parts. Also just replaced both Catalytic converters as well air in injection pump. Also have installed factory European headlamps ( amazing difference compared to the ill lit US spec lights ) also have 99 and up SL Larger factory Brembo brakes , rotors and Calipers 334 MM Lowered on H&R springs. Clean title ( no accidents ) title is in my name and registration is paid till June 2022 Just passed smog test today. The bad , obviously the seats are in bad shape , torn badly, will need tires in the next 1-2k miles , engine mounts will need to be replaced soon , drivers side outside mirror glass permently dimmed, but still functions properly and still able to see everything. The front top cylinders have been redone , have not done any of the other ones , but top did work fine the last time I used it , approx 2 years ago. The canvas top does have 2 small tears bottom of the rear 1/4 windows I usually enjoy it with the hard top on. Exterior Interior Engine Download the Motors app
