Here is a 1997 Lincoln Town Car Cartier Edition up for auction. This vehicle is in very good condition and runs very well. The only known issue is that every now and then when I start the engine it will have a rough idle until I turn it off and restart it, and then it runs great. When it does this I"ll put dry gas in it, and then the issue stops for a while. Other than that, the drive train runs great and needs absolutely nothing. There are no other known issues with this vehicle than what is mentioned here.
The body is in excellent condition, and has only minor nicks, dings or scratches that you"d expect on a vehicle of this age. I"ve found no evidence of any prior body repair work having been done.
The tires have approximately 50% remaining tread, and I"m including a brand-new set of 4 Continental thin white-wall tires with this sale. I bought 2 sets when I initially purchased the vehicle, and I installed one set at that time. Also included with this sale are 8 OEM wheel center caps; 4 are brand new, and 4 are used. The new ones are exactly as described. . brand new, unused and in excellent condition. Of the 4 used ones, 3 of them are in very good condition, where you would need to look closely in order to see any blemishes, and the 4th one is in average condition. These center caps are very hard to find, and will cost you nothing less than $150.00 ea. for new OEM, if you can find them.
I"m an avid lover of Town Cars and currently own 5 of them, as I do much traveling and feel they"re the most comfortable vehicle on the road today. I have to downsize my collection, and several of them will need to go. While I cannot offer any guarantees with this sale, I"m confident this vehicle has many years of use left to offer.
