Enthusiast-owned 1997 SC400. Two-and-a-half owner car; my father bought it used in 2005 with 9803 miles and gave it to me in 2011 with 230k. Mileage now sits at 267,000. My father still owns a 2000 and he had owned two Supras prior to the SCs. This is a real factory RSP—rare—one of only 17 SC400s made in 1997 in this color. What’s to love? It’s high mileage but mechanically sound with a smooth, quiet ride. Oil has been changed every 5,000 miles, never anything but full synthetic. Mostly complete vehicle history included. Recently installed factory new DS door hinge. (This is a known problem on SCs where door hinge bearings fail and the door starts catching on the back of the fender, but this one should be good for years to come.) Also, the PS door latch mechanism was recently replaced. Tires and timing belt were replaced about 20k miles ago. A JVC DVD deck with Bluetooth phone was installed a few years ago. Both volumes of the factory shop manuals will be included. Also, black floor mats for front and back. Okay, what’s not to love? It’s 21 years old. It has logged 267,000 miles. The paint is tired and there are some little dings and scratches, including a very minor repair to the rear PS fender (photos of pre repair damage included in history). Front suspension is not quite as tight as it used to be. It could definitely benefit from some new bushings. Driver’s seat has one small tear in leather. All in all, it is extremely clean for 20+ years. Would love to see him go to another enthusiast.
