Vehicle description

About this vehicle This 1997 Lexus LX450 is an original with updates to the exterior, interior and drivetrain. The owner has had it for 5+ years. The vehicle runs great and is mainly used for weekend drives. Seller"s Notes I am willing to ship it anywhere at the buyers expense. Buyer can also pick it up in person. Vehicle Details Up for sale is a 1997 Lexus LX450. This is a one of a kind build. I have over 50k in the rig and am in no hurry to sell it so I am looking to get top dollar. It has been garage kept and has not been wheeled hard (it was stock when I bought it). She is my baby and I am sad to see her go… I would like to sell her to some who truly appreciates Land Cruisers and will get a lot of enjoyment from the rig. I am selling because it is not my daily driver so I have only been driving it once a week on short drives to keep all the fluids flowing and protect the engine. This thing is supercharged and really rips for a heavy 80 series. Every time you push the gas the wine from the supercharger puts a smile on your face. Let me know if you have any questions! I will list all the maintenance /modifications below. All of this stuff has been done within the last 30k with a large portion of it within the past 5k. Stats: 341 hp (239 wheel hp) 706 torque (494 Wheel torque) 0-60 in 6.9 seconds (this is compared to the facory 11 second time) The truck is much faster than stock despite the huge tires and added weight Tuned on an AWD dyno by DBW Motorsports Performance modifications: Sprintex Twin Screw Supercharger with custom dyno tuning and high boost pulley Progressive water methanol Injection system. This system uses about ½ gallon of fluid per tank of gas and much less if you don’t get on it much. The custom water methanol tank hold 8 gallons so you do not have to fill it often at all. Currently running a 50/50 mix Mid length headers Full 3” mandrel bent inside the frame exhaust. On 80 series Landcruisers the factory exhaust bends outside the frame and the catalytic converters hang way down killing your ground clearance. My custom exhaust stays inside the frame and is so high clearance wise that it does not hang below the frame at all. It has 2 large magnaflow freee flow mufflers and a high performance cat. There is an offroad mid-pipe that is included that has a free flow resonator in place of the cat that can be swapped out if you would like additional horsepower (the downstream O2 sensor is at an angle so the computer does not throw a code from running catless). I keep the cat pipe installed for emissions purposes. The exhaust is surprisingly quiet and very deep. You hear the wine of the supercharger over the exhaust note. The section of the exhaust that passes the transfer case is stainless steel and is wrapped with exhaust wrap to reduce heat transfer. High flow air filter AEM FIC8 fuel ignition controller. It is set on a 93 pump gas tune. The device holds 2 tunes so if you ever wanted to changes things up or do an e85/race fuel tune that would be an option. Transmission pressure setting was swapped to 1 when it was rebuilt. The Landcruisers come on 2 and the Lexus comes on 3. Basically the lower setting takes care of the lag, and makes it shift quicker making it much nicer during normal driving. Apparently Toyota thought laggy shifts were smoother… Synthetic fluids throughout and TRD oil filter Slee stainless steel brake lines with high performance fluid EBC yellow stuff performance front brake pads and Hawk high performance street rear pads. This thing has amazing stopping power for its weight and the large tires Off road modifications: New 35” Maxxis Razr Mud terrain tires with less than 2,000 miles on them and brand new matching full sized spare. Iron Man 2” lift with heavy springs and adjustable shocks and steering stabilizer Metal tech 4x4 High clearance front tube bumper with Engo 12,000 pound winch 4x4 Labs rear high clearance bumper with dual swing outs (spare tire with high lift jack and triple jerry can). 2” trailer hitch and 12,000 pound rear engo winch installed inside the bumper Upgraded heavy duty drag link Upgraded heavy duty tie rod Upgraded heavy duty high clearance rear lower control arms Iron Pig offroad high clearance transmission, transfer case, and oil pan skid plate White knuckle offroad sliders Dual 12,000 pound engo winches. On in the front and one in the rear Authentic ARB safari snorkel The front differential, rear differential, transfer case, and transmission breather hoses have all been extended and routed either into the highest points in the cab and engine bay to allow for deep water crossings Rear aussie mechanical locker Center differential lock switch. This is a factory part that was installed to allow the transfer case to be locked in high range rather than just low which is how it comes from the factory 7 pin mod. This allows you to put the center differential in low range without activating four wheel drive (locking the center differential). This is one of my favorite mods because you can run super low hearing on the street if you need to pull out a large vehicle and you are on a paved road. Bed liner on the entire exterior of vehicle AGM battery Other mods: Lumar premium ceramic window tint. Windshield is untinted, front side windows 20%, all 4 rear side windows 5%, rear windshield 20% Custom new wood grain steering wheel with new leather. This was matched to the existing factory wood panels throughout the vehicle. It looks like it came from the factory this way. Lexus did not add a factory wood steering wheel until the 100 series landcruiser Custom new leather seats in the front and back. They are done in a brown color that was perfect color matched the factory brown dash board. There is off colored stitching. This is the leather color that the truck should have come with from the factory because it looks amazing. The leather seats are in near perfect condition. Pioneer head unit with Bluetooth and hands free calling 12” JL audio subwoofer with upgraded speakers throughout Dual ceiling mounted rifle/shotgun gun rack. The 80 series ceiling protrudes upwards exactly where this is installed making it very hard to see from the exterior of the vehicle that anything is there. The limo tint also keeps anyone from being able to see any weapons that are mounted there. Cover king multicam seat covers are included for the first row Desert camo seat covers are included for the third row Maitanance: Full transmission rebuild Top end motor rebuild using all Toyota parts. ARP head studs were used with the head gasket Front axle rebuid Rear axle rebuild Oil change Coolant system service with new fluid Full brake service with new fluid pads rotors and brake lines Front differential fluid Rear differential fluid Transfer case fluid Coolant hose upgrade. This is a common failure, but it has been upgraded with a permanent fix Interior and exterior detail New AGM battery Starter Alternator O2 sensors Engine knock sensors The bad: Windows roll up and down slowly in the winter. This is a problem with all 80 series land cruisers Factory remote entry has bad range Does not come with the 3 scepter fuel cans or high lift jack Bed liner is not in perfect aesthetic condition when examined up close but is fully functional and works great on the trails for pinstripe protection The drivers side forward and backward seat motor does not work very well and the passenger side seat motor does not work but it is suck in the fully rear position. The recline motors on both seats work perfectly fine so they can be adjusted. This is the first time I have ever listed out all the mods and man it surprised me with how much I’ve done. The rig was bone stock when I purchased it. This truck runs like a top and had been a southern vehicle and has no rust. With the supercharger in low range it has so much torque that is basically idles over obstacles off road. The only maintenance she will need for hundreds of thousands of miles besides fluids is a front knuckle rebuild. This is just one of those things that cannot be avoided on an 80 series. It will need the front inner axle seals replaced at least every 100k. I am including a new full front knuckle rebuild kit with upgraded inner axle seals and new wheel bearings so all that will be needed is the labor if they ever need to be done again. I want to keep in touch with the new owner just because I will always have a soft spot for my 80. Thank you for your consideration! Exterior Interior Engine Download the Motors app
