Vehicle description
This 1997 Lexus LX450 (Land Cruiser FZJ80) is a 206k mile truck in white with champagne pearl cladding over tan leather. I acquired from a friend in Texas in 2015. He bought from a family in Oklahoma. It was originally sold in El Paso, TX.
The 4.5L inline-six runs strong. Drivetrain is full-time four-wheel drive with locking center differential. Limited-slip rear differential. This truck does not have the optional locking front and rear differentials. The transmission is a four-speed automatic Electronically Controlled Transmission (ECT). Overdrive fourth gear, dual shift programs, engine/transmission networking, lockup torque converter, second-gear start switch.
The rig remains stock except an updated Pioneer bluetooth receiver. Inside, the front seat bottoms were reupholstered by the Oklahoma owner and has held up well. Other leather has some cracking but is largely in very good condition. Although only one is shown in photos, both 3rd row seats come with the truck.
Significant maintenance work has been done in the last 2 years, $6,000 worth of receipts included with the sale.
2015 Throttle body gasket RR Replaced valve cover gasket Replaced plasticized hoses Replaced PCV valve Replaced AC belt Replaced alternator and fan belt
2016 Tune-up (cap, rotor, plugs, wires, fuel filter)
2017 Tires: BFG All Terrain T/A KO2 (at 184,761 miles)
2018 Replaced Radiator (assembly, cap, etc.) Tire Rotation & balance And in Dec: Replaced brake booster Replaced distributor O-Ring Replaced Power Steering pump and hoses Replaced rear brakes (pads and rotors) Brake fluid flush New oil, filter, gasket
A new front bumper (TJM T17) was installed by Slee off-road in Golden in Nov 2018 ($850).
Exterior has some scratches, noted in photos, a small dent to front drivers fender, and the typical rust spot beneath rear window seal. No other rust on vehicle. This incredible truck has never been taken off-road and used primarily as my road trip vehicle back and forth between Seattle, Denver and Austin.
