Exterior Interior Up for auction: 1997 Land Rover Discovery It’s the best 4WD I’ve ever owned. Go off road driving - rarely have I needed to place it in low gear. It’s strong as an ox and has pulled out many stuck vehicles struggling in thick sand. A/C is ice cold, smooth soft quiet ride, good tread on all 4 tires, clean inside and out, no wobbles, doesn’t pull to right or left, turns on a dime, power seats, heated seats, power windows, power sunroofs (I’ve got them locked to stop leak), clean leather back seats, power locks, 2 original keys, original manual, roof racks, heater, power steering, good brakes, very little rust, good paint job, 2 sun roofs and side sky lights. New Battery, New Fuel Pump, New Power Steering & all receipts for other items kept. Full disclosure- It does have the “3 Amigos” (3 lights on at the dashboard). Plus a few other quirks as do all Rovers of this year range. Occasionally has an intermittent sluggish performance while driving happens for 5-10min then disappears (It will maintain desired speed, just a bit of lurching). Stereo system comes on & I have the code etc… but could never get original receiver to engage. Had a roof water leak but have fixed it as best I could but silicone has sealed the sunroofs (can easily be undone). Side windows sometimes won’t go up so I just keep them in up positions. Occasionally (rarely & not for long) the speedometer goes out. This does affect the odometer sometimes. Sometimes it shakes over bad bumps(I believe it’s fixed now though). Lastly drivers seat was worn out when I purchased so I placed seat cover on it (passenger seat looks fine). Lastly Alarm works but horn is somehow disconnected. If you’re looking for a great local vehicle that’s fun to drive, put up for a classic show or even off roading this is a fantastic vehicle for you!
