Vehicle description
1997 Honda CR-V. This car has been in our family since it was purchased back in 97, so we"ve been the only owner of this car. For the past 10+ years my retired father only drove the car once or twice a week around the neighborhood for a few blocks so it"s had very light usage. Registration expires in September 2021, STAR smog certification will be required.
There are some minor issues with the car you should be aware of:
-The driver window goes down using the switch but doesn"t go back up, so if it"s rolled down to get it back up you"d need to use your hands to pull the window back up.
-The back hatch window flips open, however sometimes when you close the window back down the latch mechanism doesn"t engage so the window doesn"t lock back down. Our workaround is to fiddle with the latch with our finger and then try closing the hatch until the latch engages and locks down the window. -The car needs new tiresThe wiper blades need to be replaced.
-There are some body dents, dings, chipped paint, and some rusting on some scratches which you can see in the pics. -To the best our knowledge these are the issues we know of, but there may be other issues we are not aware of since it"s not driven daily. We can do a test drive and you are free to have a mechanic inspect the vehicle.
Maintenance History:
Whenever the maintenance indicator signaled for an oil change, my father brought it to to a repair shop to change the engine oil and filter. A new car battery was installed this year. Engine air filter was replaced this year. Coolant fluid was replaced within the last couple years. My father doesn"t remember when the last time the transmission oil and brake fluid were changed.
The car is sold as is.
