Vehicle description

1997 GMC Box Truck, Gas motor, Automatic
- 53k Original miles on body, and approx 3k miles on rebuilt crate motor (receipts available).
- The truck is mechanically healthy and reliable, ready for work. Would make a perfect moving or delivery truck.
- All service records from new are available, including extensive records for a rebuilt crate engine that was put in about 3k miles ago.
- Clean title and fully paid off. I have a Virginia title in hand.
I purchased this truck in Maryland in early 2021 from the second owner. The first owner was a hospital in Maryland; they had limited storage space so this truck was used for daily runs between the hospital and their warehouse. The second owner owned a sound stage business, so he would travel with bands to haul and set up their music equipment. Once COVID hit, the second owner"s business was shuttered and I bought the truck from him when he was liquidating. I used this truck to haul my business inventory from VA to TX during a recent move, and then it served as storage space while I got set up here. Now that I have a warehouse built and I hauled in all my inventory and furniture, I no longer have a need for this truck.
Mechanically this truck is perfect, it is 100% up to date on all service and I have receipts to support all mechanical work. Prior to me purchasing it, it was passed a pre-purchase inspection at a truck shop and it passed DOT safety inspection. It will need an oil change soon though.
Cosmetically the truck is in good condition, above average for its age. The front bumper has a dent in the middle which is cosmetic, it can be pulled out. The box is dry, no leaks, and it is clean and presentable.
A few Cons:
- The electronic/hydraulic brake is making a warning beep that it is still enabled, even though it"s disengaged. This just started happening recently and I have not investigated the issue. It is either a faulty switch, bad sensor, or the brake is sticking. I hope to resolve this in the near future.
- AC needs to be charged.
- The radio works, but only at certain sound levels
