Vehicle description
Selling our 1996 Geo Tracker 4WD. We bought this from a Florida RV owner about 5 years ago. It is set up as an RV tow vehicle (toad). It has been professionally wired so the tail lights and turn signals operate with your RVs lights. It comes with one of the best & most expensive tow bars in the business. . a Roadmaster Sterling! With this bar, 1 person can hook up (and unhook) this GEO to an RV in just a couple minutes. It"s so easy and fast!
We sold our Tiffin Breeze RV when we moved to Ga. but we kept the Geo because we thought we"d buy another RV soon. Well, since Jan/2015, the Geo has been sitting in our garage, covered, with a battery charger on it. We really could use the garage space and don"t have immediate plans to buy another Class A RV. . so, we"ll pass this beauty on to someone else.
It is 4WD with locking front hubs. The transfer case has 2wd hi, 4wd hi, 4wd low and neutral. It will go anywhere a jeep will and you"ll do so without a HUGE payment book or none at all! The front top pops off and the rear hard top comes off too. It"s a fun vehicle with both tops off. You can leave the front top on to keep the sun off you in you"d like.
The exterior and interior are in great shape. See pics The Tracker has a 2 inch receiver trailer hitch for hauling a small trailer, carrying a bike or motorcycle rack or any other thing that will fit in a 2 inch hitch. There"s also a flat 4 pigtail for trailer lights.
I"ve had lots of new parts and work done in the last few 1000 miles. Here"s a list. 90,170 - Passed NY state inspection. Also changed the fluids in the 4wd system and changed the engine oil. Jiffy lube $56 90,190 - AC recharge Which leaked out over the next few months. $151 92,174 - 4 new strut shocks and checked front end. $216 7/24/2014 - Installed new decals. Old ones were fading. $175 95,053 - replace all belts on engine. $136 95,091 - AC system repaired by an auto AC specialist. Lots of new parts. Blows ice cold still! $318 95,664 - jiffy lube oil change. $40
All 5 tires have lots of tread. Brakes stop well and straight. All lights and electricals work.
Issues - - The small removable front top has some damage from when I forgot to latch it and it flipped off while I was driving down the road. It"s structurally fine and seals well but does show some damage. There are 4 screw holes behind each door where someone removed the outside handles. The holes have been sealed. There are a few bumps and bruises on the rear bumper facade and the hood has 2 spots of fade from the hot florida sun. THERE IS NO RUST!
If you are local to us, feel free to stop and inspect the tracker. You can take it for a spin around the neighborhood but it is not registered or insured.
