I am the original owner of this truck. Unfortunately the cab and bed were damaged so badly in the wreck the body shops say it needs the cab and bed replaced because they are bent so bad - the 2 body shops I took it to say the cab and bed are too damaged to bad to fix this is why the insurance company totaled it and it has a salvage title. This was my highway truck with 3.55 rear ratio and 3.54 front ratio. I never let it go over 4,000 miles without oil and filter change. I was a mechanic for UPS for 30 years and I had 5 of these in my fleet ( I H T444E - same engine ) of 24 trucks and When I retired all 5 had the original engines all 5 had over 650,000 miles on them and they were all running great and using only about maybe 1 to 2 quarts of oil a day , and were run wide open all day against the governor ( I H governed these at about 33,000 RPM) with the 18 quart pan I H used. I kept and have complete history records I kept on this truck ,I drove it home 250 miles this way - it steered - drove - ran perfectly - no codes - no warning lights it ran perfect as always - and no vibration. The frame looks fine - the car went underneath it the sheet metal took a majority of the impact. But the cab has about a 3 inch gap on top seam and about a 2 inch gap on the bottom edge - the drivers door is jammed shut. All engine and tranny - driveline components do not show any sign of damage. Engine uses no oil - NO LEAKS. But the steering gear output shaft is twisted and the left front wheel has a break on the rim. I just put the G2 locking hubs on it - About 2 - 3 years ago I renewed it because I wanted everything new for my highway trips - I had a new starter - new alternator - new water pump - new fan clutch - new radiator hoses - new heater hoses - new fuel pump - and new synthetic fuel pump hoses - I"ve changed oil and filter once in the E4OD automatic tranny. If your looking for a used 7.3 engine and driveline - you won"t find one that was taken care of better than this one - this engine runs like new - shifts like new - this truck will have to be repaired and inspected before it could be put back on the road - the car hit me hard on the left side the car went under me and the front tank was punctured - I drove home on the rear tank. It will not turn very far to the left because the steering gear output shaft is twisted. It has 2 year old Everstart batterys,the tires are 80% , the brake light switch was hit by my foot and stays on - so I slip the battery connections on when I start it , and slip the cables off when let it run for a little while to keep it charged. The driver window is broken. This was my baby - I took immaculate care of this truck. I never drove it in any mud - never drove in deep water - I serviced everything properly and at the proper service intervals on this truck.
