Vehicle description
Dodge Ram 2500. It’s been my daily driver for just about 5 years, it’s been a great truck and I hate to sell it but it was time something a little newer and I don’t have room to keep it. It’s the heavy duty package ordered from dodge and has the dana 60 front axle and dana 80 rear. Gas 360 V8 and automatic trans. These trucks usually had a hard life as plow trucks and most have rusted beyond repair. This truck has had the cab replaced about 10 years ago. The odometer reads 179,000 but actual miles are unknown. The cab is mostly rust free. The rockers are starting to get bad as seen in the pics. The doors and fenders are also rusted on the bottoms. The bed is almost perfect only having very minor rust around the wheel wells. Tailgate is perfect. The frame and mechanical are in great shape. The increasingly difficult to find single cab is from a loaded 1500 so the truck now has factory power windows mirrors and door locks. Also has a complete factory ac, doesn’t blow cold but can be repaired. The cruise control doesn’t work either I believe the button on the steering wheel is the problem. The interior is clean and shows very little wear. The plastic fill piece by the windshield is cracked. Everything else works. The truck is very well maintained but does need some tlc. Hass transmission in Dexter services the vehicle every other year and has said everything is in good shape but the trans has started leaking a little from the front seal. It can be repaired and doesn’t affect the drivability of the truck. I drive this truck everyday on the freeway and off road, drives great, lots of life left. It’s a nice old heavy duty truck. The value is in the parts and these trucks are starting to raise in value. It’s in great shape for its age and would make a great entry level 4X4 for someone or a great hunting, work or rec truck. Also has lots of great oem parts for your diesel project.
