About this vehicle This 1997 Chevrolet Gmt-400 is an original with updates to the drivetrain. The owner has had it for 4 years. The vehicle runs great. Vehicle Details This rare stepside 4WD is in unbelievable condition. The engine, transmission, most of the drivetrain, brakes, and steering parts have been either professionally replaced or rebuilt in the last 12000 miles. I would drive this truck anywhere. The only thing that I know of wrong with it mechanically is an occasional hard shift from first to second gear that causes the check engine light to come on. The transmission has been rebuilt twice by 2 of the best but they have not been able to figure out the problem. The exterior paint and body is almost flawless. It could use some new chrome strips and 2 very small scratches in the paint touched up. The interior is just ok. It does have some cracks in the dash and a small patched spot in the seat.
